Meet the team

Before co-founding Parkwalk in 2009, Alastair was a Partner of Lazard LLP, Director of BNP and a Founder Partner of Ark Securities. He has analysed and advised both private and public companies on strategy, development, fund-raising and exits. Alastair spearheaded Parkwalk to become a leading EIS investor, as well as making considerable efforts to provide UK university 
spin-outs with the right type of investment, making them grow from an idea to a commercial success.

Before joining Parkwalk in 2011 Alun spent 20 years managing debt capital markets at Natwest Markets (now part of RBS) and Royal Bank of Canada. Alun represents Parkwalk on the Boards of a number of portfolio companies, notably the University of Oxford spin-outs Oxford Flow, Mind Foundry and Proxisense.

Amy joined Parkwalk as Legal Counsel in 2022. Prior to Parkwalk, she was an Emerging Companies associate at law firm Taylor Vinters where she advised start-up companies on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters alongside providing advice to companies and investors on investments. She gained her LLB in Law and American Law at the University of East Anglia and spent a year of her degree studying at South Texas College of Law.

Anne joined Parkwalk in 2024 and has been supporting University spin-outs and start-ups since 2001, working in various technology commercialisation roles at Imperial College and the University of Cambridge. Anne formerly led the growth of the University of Cambridge’s Seed Funds team for 15 years, including establishing the first University EIS fund with Parkwalk and spinning out Cambridge Innovation Capital. Anne has served on multiple early stage boards, across all technology sectors. Most recently Anne established the accelerator Founders at the University of Cambridge, to support founders at seed stage. Anne holds a BSc in Medical Microbiology and a PhD in Immunology.

Chloe and her team manage the on-boarding of clients, the end-to-end EIS3 process and liaise with investors, their advisers and wealth managers. Before Parkwalk, Chloe worked for a technology company after graduating from the University of Southampton with a BSc in Politics and Economics.

Georgia joined the Investor Relations team in March 2020 and assists with the on-boarding of clients, maintenance of investor database and liaising with investors, advisers and wealth managers. Georgia graduated from the University of Leicester with a BA in Economics.

Gordon has 30 years’ City experience, latterly as head of equity proprietary trading and EMEA equity, derivatives and convertible bond risk at Salomon/Citigroup and then as the founder of Pendragon Capital, a large event-driven hedge fund. Gordon is an adviser to several hedge funds and sits on the Advisory Boards of several companies and funds, including Bridges Ventures.

Harriet is responsible for the overall marcomms strategy, as well as fundraising for Parkwalk’s EIS Funds – regularly presenting to investors, private clients and wealth managers. Harriet also manages some of the firm’s key strategic IFA relationships. Before joining Parkwalk, Harriet was Director of Sales and Marketing at Kin Capital. She raised capital for a number of EIS, VCT, SEIS and BR funds including Parkwalk Opportunities EIS Fund. Previously she was at private equity fund Calculus Capital. Harriet holds a BA in Geography from Durham University and the Investment Management Certificate (CFA UK). Harriet sits on the Enterprise Investment Scheme Association (EISA) Membership, Marketing and Events Committee.

Helen is IP Group’s lead on operational risk and regulatory compliance with specific focus on senior team and board risk engagement, controls and business resilience. Helen also holds the regulatory roles of Compliance Officer (SMF16) and Money Laundering Reporting Officer (SMF17) for a Group corporate finance and fund management business authorised by the FCA in the UK. Helen qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 2013 while working in PwC’s Asset & Wealth Management practice in Dublin, Ireland.

Ian worked in the Wealth Management units of BNP Paribas and Prudential Bache as an equity analyst for ten years before joining Parkwalk. He holds an MBA from Cranfield and has worked as both analyst and fund manager.

Before joining Parkwalk in 2018, John was a Partner at Adelphi Capital LLP, a London-based fundamental long-short European equity hedge fund. Prior to that he worked at The LEK Partnership as a Strategy Consultant, at NatWest Markets, Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette and then Merrill Lynch as Head of Global Capital Goods equity research. John has experience advising companies on strategy, fund raising and transactions as well as building investment portfolios in both the listed and venture sectors. At Parkwalk, he has led successful exits of portfolio companies to Microsoft, Apple and other international acquirers and currently sits on the board of Cambridge GaN Devices, Crypto Quantique, Accelercomm and OW Smell Digital. John was appointed Chief Investment Officer in 2024.

Before joining Parkwalk in 2016, Kathy held COO, CFO and Compliance roles at a large event-driven hedge fund. Kathy previously worked at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney / Citigroup and Merrill Lynch.

Lucy joined Parkwalk in 2024. Prior to Parkwalk, she was Marketing Manager at equity research and investor relations firm Edison Group where she drove the company’s marketing strategy with a focus on lead generation and brand awareness. Lucy began her career at boutique wealth management firm MASECO Private Wealth as a Marketing Associate. She gained a BA in Philosophy and French from the University of Exeter and holds the Chartered Institute of Marketing Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing.

Before joining Parkwalk, Martin was a hedge fund manager for 15 years, investing in IPOs globally. He has been an extel-rated analyst, covering the chemical and pharmaceutical sectors at various institutions including Lazard, Lehman Brothers and Jeffries. Martin has a BA in Chemistry from Oxford University. Martin sits on the Boards of portfolio companies Cytora and Psyomics and is a Board Observer at Creavo Medical Technologies.

Prior to co-founding Parkwalk, Moray spent over 20 years working for Hoare Govett, JP Morgan, Lazard and Mirabaud. He has helped advise companies on acquisitions, fund-raising, restructuring and strategy. Moray has a wealth of experience with corporate and financial institutions. He sits on the boards of several Parkwalk portfolio companies including Oxa, PervasID and Cambridge Touch and was formerly on the boards of Perpetuum (sold to Hitachi Rail), Fuel3D and Tangentix. Moray also sits on the IP Group plc Executive Committee.

Neil was a Worldwide Consulting Partner at Arthur Andersen. Post Andersen he undertook a variety of entrepreneurial roles with companies including St John Restaurant, Cutting Edge Music and Waterfordchedi AG. Neil is also a founder investor in Caffe Nero. Neil has a degree in Economics and Accounting from the University of Bristol and is a Chartered Accountant. His Parkwalk directorships include Symetrica, Diffblue, Entia and Bramble Energy.  Neil also is responsible for Parkwalk’s investments in Quantum Computing.

Olivia assists with the on-boarding of clients, processing EIS3s and liaising with investors, advisers and wealth managers. Before Parkwalk, Olivia worked in the Oil & Gas industry after graduating from Brunel University with a BSc in Finance and Accounting.

Samiksha joined Parkwalk in the Investor Relations team in 2023, and assists with investor onboarding and support, as well as maintaining and updating our client database. Samiksha graduated with a First in BSc Audio Recording and Production from the University of Hertfordshire.

Steve spent many years with Rolls Royce, and was Director, Digital after being Director of Corporate Planning. He is a Member of the Strategic Advisory Board, School of Business and Economics at Loughborough University. Steve gained a PhD at the University of Cambridge before studying at the Goethe Institute Berlin and the Said Business School at the University of Oxford.

Susie is responsible for the overall fundraising strategy at Parkwalk, as well as managing strategic partnerships. She spends much of her time presenting Parkwalk’s funds to investors, private clients and wealth managers but also works closely with Harriet on the marketing for Parkwalk’s EIS Funds. Prior to joining Parkwalk, Susie was Head of Internal Business Development at Puma Investments. She has spent most of her career marketing tax-advantaged products and sits on the EIS & VCT Subcommittee for the British Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and the Research & Education Committee for the EIS Association (EISA). Susie graduated with honours from Columbia University in New York City where she studied Psychology and Archaeology. A keen (amateur!) musician, Susie also sits on the Board of Trustees of West Sussex Music.

Will is Parkwalk’s General Counsel and advises on investments and exits by the Parkwalk funds, as well as all other legal matters across the business. Will has over 10 years’ experience in venture capital, M&A, corporate and commercial law in the Deeptech, Cleantech and Healthcare sectors dealing with companies from spin-out to growth stage. Prior to joining Parkwalk, Will was Senior Legal Counsel at IP Group and previously worked as a corporate lawyer at law firm Taylor Wessing. Will holds a BA Hons in History from Royal Holloway, University of London.

Wisdom joined the Investment team as an analyst in March 2023 and is working on statistical analysis, building VCRM and other relationships databases. Wisdom graduated in 2022, receiving a first class honours degree in Mathematics from Coventry University.
